Getting More Done with Gmail

About a year ago I switched to using Gmail for all of my email.  There is about a 3 day learning curve to getting the hang of Gmail.  Once you get Gmail – I don’t think you will go back.  Why is Gmail so much better – in short – Gmail keeps all of your conversations together.  So you can quickly see all of the messages in a thread and not just the ones that were sent to you.

I have been following a little bit of the conversation about email productivity over the past year.  I know that there are many people that follow the Inbox Zero idea.  Chris Brogan has blogged about his success with this idea here.   I have not yet reached zero but I am working on it constantly.

Lifehacker has a great post on doing more with Gmail:

Using gmail Superstars to make a To-Do List – This describes how you can use the gmail star system to use Gmail like a todo list.  I have already set up my gmail and I am going to try using this system today.
